2023: A year that invites us to reflect and be grateful!

Yes, these are challenging times. The over-juxtaposition of a global health pandemic, the return of war to Europe, a divided political landscape, the global impact of inflation and recession, and the continued assault on our personal freedoms have left us all exhausted and anxious.

But 2023 will mark both the 100th anniversary of Mirko Beljanski’s birth and the 25th anniversary of his death. So, what better way to honor his memory than by saluting his discoveries and showing our appreciation for the support these discoveries have provided – and continue to provide – many patients worldwide?

Without the daily work of the volunteers of “The Beljanski Foundation” (a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in New York since 1999) and its little sister “La Fondation Beljanski,” created more recently in Belgium, Mirko Beljanski’s life-saving discoveries would have undoubtedly been forgotten.

The Foundation is, therefore, incredibly grateful for the following:

  • The men and women on the Board of both Foundations, who work tirelessly to turn the mission into action.
  • All the donors whose generous gifts make it all possible.

Mirko Beljanski was born in what was Yugoslavia in 1923 and died in Paris in 1998. A doctor of science specializing in molecular biology, he spent his entire career at the C.N.R.S. (Centre National de Recherche Scientifique), including several years at the Pasteur Institute in Paris. One of the first scientists to demonstrate the link between environmental toxins and carcinogenesis, he is often considered “the father of environmental medicine.”

For Mirko Beljanski, the research needed to be impactful. But, even more, important than the 133 scientific papers and two books he published during his lifetime, he helped countless people in their fight against cancer.

By helping sick people, Mirko Beljanski has touched lives, sometimes those of entire families, over generations. And that is why the testimonials of cancer patients are at the heart of Mirko Beljanski’s legacy. Each of your testimonials confirms the importance of continuing the mission of the Beljanski Foundation, and we are committed to sharing them with you on the Foundation’s website, www.beljanski.org/testimonials.

Any victory against cancer and other chronic diseases in a natural way, without toxicity or additional side effects, is worth celebrating.

The Foundation is working to maintain Dr. Beljanski’s legacy and expand it through new research programs and partnerships with academic institutions, leading to new peer-reviewed publications written by a new generation of scientists.

As of today, the Foundation has worked with the following:

Research demonstrated that the botanicals had anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer effects on multiple cell lines, worked synergistically with chemotherapies and even destroyed cancer stem cells, thus preventing metastasis. All studies have been published in peer-reviewed journals and are available at www.beljanski.org/publications.

2022 has allowed us to conclude a fascinating study on the golden extract of Gingko biloba. Mirko Beljanski developed this particular extract because he had observed that it could reduce radiation-induced fibrosis. Additionally, Dr. Beljanski found the botanical to modulate the secretion of angiogenin, an enzyme acting as a potent stimulator of forming new blood vessels from pre-existing ones. Angiogenin plays a crucial role in the survival of cancer cells. Inhibiting its development is, therefore, a possible target for cancer treatment.

The study, conducted at Kansas University Medical Center, involved melanoma cells, and the publication is expected in the spring of this year. We will share this study with you as soon as possible. It complements the study also conducted on melanoma with the green tea blend selected by Mirko Beljanski.

In 2023, we would like to conduct two new studies, one to study the benefits of RNA Fragments on the symptoms of long COVID and another on breast cancer stem cells (responsible for metastasis).

Thank You For Your Support

We want to thank our generous donors, without whom this adventure could not continue.

We strive to express our appreciation to the Friends of the Foundation (donors who have given 50 dollars or more during the fiscal year) by offering them several additional benefits:

  • You assure scientific researchers the means to make even more progress against cancer.
  • You'll receive an e-newsletter on the latest research projects twice a year.
  • Receive information on all events, in-person and virtual, organized by the Foundation and our Partners In Health, with free ticket opportunities
  • Receive 5% off all purchases from Maison Beljanski, the supplier of all extracts used in the Beljanski Foundation's research programs, for one year
  • Receive information on all promotions offered by Maison Beljanski

Please note: Every donation made to the Beljanski Foundation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
