Skin Cancer Research: Melanoma Phase 1

Donate to our melanoma research project and help cure cancer the natural way

Our skin cancer research is focused on melanoma — the most serious kind of skin cancer. Thank you Nathan Crane and his organization for their generous donation. The first stage of our melanoma research program is now fully funded. Stay tuned for updates on the research by subscribing to our newsletter. Two plant extracts – a select green tea blend (OnkoTea) and golden leaf of ginkgo biloba will be studied for their anti-melanoma activity. The project will explore both a topical and oral approach. The anti-melanoma effects of the green tea blend are shown in a recent publication from Kansas University Medical Center. And we are already in the process of extending Beljanski’s work showing that golden leaf of Ginkgo Biloba extract inactivates enzymes released by melanoma cells that promote cancer progression. We need funds for the next step: evaluating the benefits of a skin lotion formulated by Sylvie Beljanski that contains both the OnkoTea extract and the golden leaf of ginkgo biloba extract. These experiments are aimed at determining the effects of the lotion on gene expression in skin cells and assessing the anti-inflammatory and anti-melanoma potential.
